Steins Pillar is 350 feet tall and is named after Major Enoch Steen, who explored this area in the 1860s. His name was so often misspelled thatthe misspelling stuck, which is why itis now called Steins Pillarinstead of Steens Pillar. The besttimes to visitthis trail are May through October. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 58 min to complete this 4 mile hike with 790 feet elevation gain.

Ruthe Johnson & Tori Ehlert are co-leading this hike.
