When: Sept. 23, 2025, 8 a.m to 3 p.m.

Meet: leave by 8:00am from So. Century Fire Station on North side approx. 3 miles from Sunriver Resort past Caldera & Crosswater.

Moraine Lake via Green Lakes TH 1 Way then to Ridge overlooking the entire sweep of the Lake framed by Broken Top and South Sister. Hiking out Climbers trail to Devils Lake. This is a Shuttle Hike & 3  vehicles will be needed.

This is a moderately challenging 8.5 + miles total combined gain to Ridge is 1,800+ feet. At first, trail winds through the Forest with multiple waterfalls for 2.4 miles to Junction; turning left to ascend through interesting Lava formations and on to more open areas allowing views of Bachelor & Broken Top till you descend into the aqua blue Moraine Lake. After a snack stop we will take the trail up to the Climbers Trail to South Sister for the overview of the entire Lake overlook for our lunch break. Return via Climber’s Trail to Devils Lake and our shuttle car to take drivers back to their cars at Green Lakes Trailhead & return to pick up rest of hikers.

Gear: lunch, snacks, 2.5 liters of water, electrolytes, layered clothing, sturdy hiking shoes, hat, sunscreen & sunglasses, hiking poles always recommended. $ for permit($1) Drivers ($6).

# Participants: 10 on this permitted hike & all permits have been obtained.

On the SRWC website, go to the calendar and click on the event.  Click "Already Registered."  Click "Cancel.” On the APP, go to "My tickets."  Click CANCEL below the time/date.
