VOLUNTEER

The SRWC is an all volunteer organization that relies on members’ talents and experience to coordinate social and activity groups for our members, and sponsor community events and fundraising to support our philanthropy programs. There are many ways to help within the SRWC, both in-person and virtually. Time commitments for volunteer positions vary from a few hours for a specific event to single or multi-year terms.

Volunteer to Support the Community

Fundraising events and programs supporting our Community Grant program:

Art Meets Wine in the High Desert: (open to all)

Held during Oregon Wine Month, the Art Meets Wine LIVE! event is held at the SHARC.  Come meet the winemakers, taste wines from all over, and enjoy amazing food and music in the indoor/outdoor setting.  Please visit https://artmeetswine.org for more information.

Hands to Hearts Community Service Projects: (members & guests)

Kids’ Day and July 4th(open to all)

Alpine Entertainment also sponsors these two family-fun events during the summer in the Village at Sunriver which support nonprofits in the South Deschutes area.  SRWC  runs the ticket booths.

Volunteer to Support SRWC Programs & Activities

There are many volunteer positions that are important for the SRWC to effectively function as a non-profit community service organization.  Most of our volunteer positions offer members an opportunity to work with a team of members to support various aspects of the organization.  This is a great way for new members to get involved.  Here are some examples:

  • Join one of our Board Teams.  There are teams that support our membership services, our club programs, our volunteer development effort, our fundraising initiatives and events, our community grant program and our donor stewardship program.  One of these opportunities might be a great fit for you!
  • Become a Social Club or Activity Chair. These individuals coordinate Book Club, Dinner Club, Birthday Lunches, Hikes and Winter Fun Activities, Sunriver Knitters and Loose Cannons. Social Club or Activity Chairs plan the yearly schedule and coordinate group activities. They are not required to attend all of the group functions.

If you are interested in volunteering contact the volunteer development director at:  development@sunriverwomensclub.org.
